Tyler Tapp
VP of Legal
Logan, Roy, Tooele & Pleasant Grove, UT
BYU-Idaho
Tyler Tapp is the VP of Legal at Creekside Injury Law and brings a people-first approach to personal injury work, along with an entrepreneur’s eye for solving problems, building systems, and helping clients feel supported from the moment they call. He thrives in the middle of complicated situations and takes pride in helping clients move from chaos and uncertainty to organization, clarity, and confidence.
From Idaho Falls to Utah
Tyler is from Idaho Falls, Idaho and studied Business Communication at BYU-Idaho. These days, family is what keeps him in Utah. Otherwise, he jokes that he might be living in Hawaii or Florida. Still, Utah works well for him because everything feels close, convenient, and connected. As Tyler puts it, you can find just about everything you need, twice over, within twenty minutes.
A Business Background Built Around People
Before joining Creekside Injury Law, Tyler owned several businesses, including a podcast marketing firm and a pizza restaurant. In each of those roles, he naturally became the person focused on relationships, both with clients and with staff. Over time, he discovered that what he loves most is helping people navigate whatever challenge is in front of them. He enjoys seeing a complicated problem, untangling it, and finding the best possible path forward.
That background translates directly into his work at Creekside. Tyler knows how to communicate clearly, keep moving parts organized, and help people feel heard during stressful situations. In personal injury law, those skills matter every single day.
What Tyler Does for Clients
In plain English, Tyler helps clients turn chaos into organization. He helps manage their case from start to finish, acts as a voice between clients and insurance companies, and works to keep every part of the process moving in the right direction. He also helps ensure clients stay updated and receive the treatment they need while their case progresses.
One of the most common questions Tyler hears is, “How long will this process take?” His answer is honest and practical. It usually takes longer than anyone would like. Most cases take somewhere between nine months and two years, depending on the client’s physical recovery and how quickly insurance companies and medical providers do their part. Tyler believes clients deserve straight answers, even when the answer is not the one they were hoping for.
Why This Work Matters to Him
Tyler loves helping people and solving problems, which makes this role a natural fit. He has also seen firsthand why firms like Creekside matter.
At one point, his wife became extremely sick after eating at a restaurant, and their family was left with thousands of dollars in medical bills for something that never should have happened. They reached out to a law firm, which helped them recover money they desperately needed at the time.
That experience gave Tyler a clear perspective on the purpose behind this work. Personal injury law is about helping people when they are facing situations they should not have to handle alone.
That is also why he wishes every injury victim knew one simple thing before calling a lawyer: Creekside works on a contingency-only basis. People do not need to try to fight insurance companies by themselves before reaching out for help.
One of the moments that reminds Tyler his job matters happens over and over again. At the end of an intake call, he can often hear the relief in a new client’s voice. The burden starts to lift. They realize they no longer have to figure everything out by themselves, and that matters.
Family, Home, and Life Outside the Office
Tyler is married to his beautiful wife, and together they have two boys and two golden retrievers. Outside of work, he loves spending time in his yard and creating beautiful gathering spaces for family and friends. In another life, if he did not love his work at Creekside so much, he says he would probably be a landscape architect or designer.
He also enjoys Utah’s food scene and has a few favorite local spots, including Saffron Circle, Houston TX Hot Chicken, and Kitchen 88.
If Tyler Could Tell Every New Client One Thing
“You focus on healing, and we will take care of most of the rest.”
That mindset captures Tyler’s approach perfectly. He wants clients to feel supported,
informed, and protected throughout the process, while Creekside handles the details
and fights for the outcome they deserve.
